The Richmond Electricians’ Joint Apprenticeship and Training Center is grateful for your interest in the organization and welcomes the opportunity to inform and serve you. The web site is designed to answer inquiries about our training programs as well as serve current apprentices and journeyman.

What's New at RJATC VA2910
Instrumentation Certification Test

The RJATC will be hosting Part A of the EPRI Instrumentation Certification Test on Saturday 3/14/15 at 9 AM.  There will be a fee of $20 for each person who takes the test.  An individual may not take the Part A test more than once within a six month period.

There will be a review class on Friday 3/13/15, from 6 to 9 PM.

An OSHA 10 Class will be held at the apprenticeship building, from 4 to 7 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays, on the following four dates:  2/2, 2/4, 2/9, 2/11.  You must attend all 4 days to complete the class.

If you are interested, you must call the apprenticeship office at 752-8266 to register.

Photovoltaic Classes

This will be an introductory class on Photovoltaic Systems.  Successful completion of this course will qualify participants to take the NABCEP PV Entry Level Exam.  This is a good first step, but it is NOT The NABCEP “Certification” exam.  For further information on NABCEP, please go to and click “Entry Level”.

There will be two class sessions, each of which will meet for ten (10) classes, on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 9 PM.  The first session will run from 1/21/15 – 3/25/15.  The second session will run from 4/8/15 – 6/10/15.  Space is limited to 15 students per session.  The cost of the textbook and workbook is $90.

You must call the apprenticeship office at 752-8266 to register for one of these classes.

NEC Code Update 2014 - 2015
The NEC Code Update Class will be held on the second Thursday of each month from 6 - 9 pm.  Please call the apprenticeship at 804-752-8266 to register. Read More...
